98 died in penitentiaries of Azerbaijan last year

Azerbaijan extradited and took over 75 prisoners for serving residual part of their imprisonment in their country last year, said the government of Azerbaijan in the report to the parliament.

Three wanted people avoided the justice taking refuge in the foreign countries were extradited to Azerbaijan, the report reads.

According to the report, 98 people died in the penitentiaries of the Justice Ministry last year. 23 of them died from tuberculosis.
