Azerbaijani Drug addict-prisoner dies in a hospital

A prisoner died in a medical institution of the Azerbaijani Penitentiary Service.
Elman Aliyev died after treatment in the Surgical Department, the Nizami District Prosecutor's Office told Trend.

Aliyev suffered from a drug addiction and tuberculosis, the Prosecutor's Office said. The prisoner’s arterial vein broke on Feb. 28 and he was hospitalized and underwent surgery.

The prisoner died yesterday. Aliev was convicted for producing narcotics. The incident is under investigation.
