768 people had food poisoning in Azerbaijan last year

Last year, 644 facts of food poisoning occurred in Azerbaijan, Deputy Chief of Azerbaijani Station of Epidemiology and Hygiene Imran Abdullayev said.

768 persons died as a result of these incidents. 23 facts of poisoning are associated with botulism, which affected 46 people, 2 of whom died. Abdullayev said that all the facts of poisoning occurred from foods prepared in domestic conditions. According to him, nobody was poisoned from food of catering and retail establishments.
