There is no need for a full suspension of lessons at schools in the areas of disaster, Education Minister Misir Mardanov said.

"There were serious problems with education in Sabirabad and Saatly areas. Heads of education departments of these areas told me that there is no need for a full suspension of lessons at schools," Mardanov told media.
Floods in 40 Azerbaijani regions have been recently registered. About 20,000 houses were flooded, more than 300 destroyed, 2,000 were in emergency condition, 50,000 hectares of cultivated land were under water as a result of the disaster.
Minister said that necessary measures are taken for children from the affected regions to continue their education in their places of temporary residence.
