Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Spanish University sign cooperation agreement

The document was signed by ANAS vice-president Arif Hashimov and professor of the University of the Basque Country Javier Landatxe. The document envisages conduct of joint research, student scientific training and implementation of special programs and projects.

According to the document, an interstate agreement on mutual recognition of diplomas will be signed in the future. Hashimov said the document would contribute to developing scientific cooperation between Azerbaijan and Spain.

Javier Landatxe, in turn, expressed confidence that relations between ANAS and University of the Basque Country would develop successfully in the future. Landatxe also said European countries were interested to study Azerbaijan.
