Georgian First Lady: Project for exchange of socially disadvantaged teenagers from Azerbaijan and Georgia to be launched

The first group of Georgian teenagers will visit Azerbaijan under the project for the exchange of socially disadvantaged young people from Azerbaijan and Georgia. It is planned to be launched in late August,  Georgian First Lady Sandra Roelofs, being on a visit to Baku, said.

The project was initiated by Azerbaijani First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva and Georgian First Lady Sandra Roelofs.

The aim of the project is to help teenagers aged 14 to 18 who are in a difficult financial situation, to know neighbors better. These children survived a complex operation, loss of parents, or other tragedies. A group of Georgian students will consist of 20 people," she said.

"In November, when Azerbaijani schoolchildren go on vacation, we plan to organize their visit to Georgia, not only in Tbilisi but also in the other cities,"Roelofs told media following her visit to Azerbaijan. Each trip will last from 7 to 10 days.
