UNICEF regional director familiarizing with Azerbaijani children's challenges

Mr. Steven Allen, UNICEF Regional Director for Central and Eastern Europe/CIS, who is on his official visit to Azerbaijan, said “this is his first visit to Azerbaijan after his new assignment”.

“Yesterday, on the first day of my visit, I went to the opera to enjoy “Toska”. I am planning to meet Azeri government officials to get better acquainted with the status of Azerbaijani children”, UNICEF official said.

“This visit is very timely. UNICEF Executive Council will consider the Azerbaijan report and confirm the plan for cooperation for the next period in June”, he said.
