
The Azerbaijan Students' Union (ASU) continues to boost relations with largest students' organizations worldwide, the ASU said in a press release today.
The Secretary General of ASU Vugar Rustamli is attending 58th session of the European Students' Union (ESU) to last from May 2 to 9 in Madrid, Spain. ASU established contacts with 47 students' unions from 35 countries and discussed cooperation prospects as part of the meeting.
The ways to involve the Azerbaijan Students' Union in the European students movement will be dicussed and a relevant decision will be adopted in the next few days. ASU and ESU will discuss boosting bilateral relation and implementing joint projects as part of the session.
It should be noted that the visit to Spain is funded by the Council for State Support for NGOS udner the Azerbaijani President.
Founded in 1982, the European Students’ Union composes 47 students’ organizations from 35 countries wordwide. Brussel-based organization partners with the Council of Europe, the European Youth Forum, the European Commission, UNICEF, OSCE and others. The ESU brings together over 11 million students across Europe.
