A total number people deported from Azerbaijan last month revealed

Azerbaijan State Migration Service received 4,823 applications from foreigners and non-citizens for extension of part-time residence term, permission for part-time or permanent residence, granting citizenship, determination of refugee status, individual permission for employment or extension of employment period.

The Migration Service said it investigated the applications and passed relevant decisions in accordance with the national legislation. It has also taken relevant measures for prevention of illegal migration, violation of residence rules by foreigners or non-citizens.

A total of 1,260 foreigners were identified as law-defying persons and 525 of them were surcharged and then legalized for residence in the country, 668 foreigners were asked to leave the country within 48 hours and 67 were deported.
