Azerbaijan participated in world famous "Parade of Flowers" in Netherlands

The annual "Parade of Flowers", most grandiose in the world, was held in the Netherlands on April 24 prior to the Day of the Queen, national holiday of the country.

The parade featured thematic sculptures made of flowers and installed on the large platforms. A fragrant procession marched across the country throughout the day. In addition to millions of local residents from all over the country, thousands of foreign tourists and dignitaries from the Royal Family, high officials, heads of foreign diplomatic missions and heads of international organizations accredited in the Netherlands admired the parade, the Azerbaijani embassy in the Netherlands said.

According to established tradition, the parade of flowers was inaugurated by the Prime Minister of the country.

This year the theme of the parade, which was attended by Azerbaijan as well, was "Journey to Europe". Composition "Azerbaijan", compiled with the help of the "Dutch friends of Azerbaijan" society of thousands of colorful flowers, represented Azerbaijan as an indivisible part of the European multi-national community and provided a special role of our country as a conductor of dialogue of cultures, noting the dynamic relationship between Azerbaijan and the Netherlands.
