Azerbaijani Transport Ministry proposed to provide special compartments for women in trains

The International Research Centre (ELS) has sent an official proposal to Azerbaijani Ministry of Transport to organize special woman compartments in trains.

According to the Centre, taking into account results of poll among the population, results of which showed that 94% of questioned women and 76.4% of men, who took part in the poll, supported separation of "woman" compartments in trains.

“In this connection, an appeal signed by 42 non-governmental organizations was sent to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Transport," ELS said.
