Baku districts to be renamed

Toponymy Commission of the Azerbaijani parliament convened on April 26.
The meeting discussed the draft laws "On Renaming Azizbayov District of Baku to the Khazar District" and "On renaming Yenikend village of Salyan Region into Ashagi Khalaj village.”

During discussions, it was recommended to rename Azizbayov district into Khazar District and the Yenikend village to the Ashagi Khalaj village and submit both bills for approval at the parliamentary discussions.
