Azerbaijan, St. Petersburg sign youth policy cooperation protocol

Azerbaijan Youth and Sport Ministry and Saint Petersburg City Administration's Committee for Youth Policy and Cooperation with Public Organizations signed a protocol on cooperation.

The document was signed by Minister Azad Rahimov and chief of the Committee Sergey Grishin. Prior to the signing ceremony, Rahimov had conversation with Grishin to brief him on the ongoing youth policy and accomplishments in sports in his country.

Grishin praised the protocol, saying it would contribute to strengthening youth policy cooperation between Azerbaijan and St Petersburg. As part of the visit, Grishin also visited the Alley of Honors to put flowers at the tomb of Azerbaijan's nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev.

He also visited the Alley of Martyrs to commemorate Azerbaijani heroes who gave their lives for the country's independence and territorial integrity.
