The Ministry of Education and the Press Council will hold joint trainings to improve the professionalism of journalists who write about education, Azerbaijani Press Council chairman Aflatun Amashov told media.
"There is such a situation in Azerbaijan, when the increase of journalistic professionalism became important. Appeals will be sent to some media outlets. After we write a list of journalists reporting about education, we will invite them to participate in trainings,"Amashov said.
He said that there are serious problems in the area of specialization of journalists in some areas.
"We can not make serious progress in journalism without removing these problems," Amashov said.
