Plan to prevent suicides among schoolchildren has been developed in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijani Ministry of Education has developed an action plan together with experts from the Ministry of Health to prevent increasing cases of suicide among schoolchildren, Education Minister Misir Mardanov told media today.

The minister said that suicides have become frequent among unfortunate families and among sick children. About 12 pupils committed suicide for the first quarter of 2010. As many as 29 schoolchildren and one underage child committed suicide in 2009.
