Azerbaijani monuments being certified

According to official estimates, there are 6,543 monuments of world, national and local levels on the territory of Azerbaijan.
These monuments are currently being certified.

"It is impossible to carry out certification in the short term, because this requires funds and time. So, we do everything gradually,” Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Adalat Veliyev said at a conference on International Day for Preservation of Monuments of Culture and History on April 19.

The conference discussed issues related to the International Convention for the Protection of Cultural Monuments and History to which Azerbaijan has also acceded.
