
On April 17, The Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Society will host a concert dedicated to the tragedy in Russia’s Smolensk city when aircraft carrying Polish political elite crashed leaving all people aboard dead.
The concert is organized by the Polish embassy in Baku and Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Society.
The Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra named after Uzeir Hajibayli will perform at the concert. Conductor is Elshad Bagirov and soloist is honored artist, famous pianist Murad Adigozelzade.
The concert program includes "Lullaby" from the "Path of Thunder" ballet, "Dance of Aisha" from the "Seven Beauties" ballet by Gara Garayev, Concerto Es-dur for piano by Mozart to be performed by orchestra No. 9, “From Holberg's Time” by E. Grieg, serenade for string orchestra by Tchaikovsky, Nocturne in D minor by F. Chopin (arranged for orchestra by Yashar Imanov).
