Azerbaijani Presidential Administration: World universities' providing educational opportunities to Azerbaijani youth is positive factor

The fact that the leading universities worldwide provide educational opportunities to Azerbaijani youth is a positive factor, head of public-political relations department of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan, Ali Hasanov, briefed the media during the international education exhibition in Baku.

Amongst the projects implemented in recent years in Azerbaijan, one of the important projects is educational.

"The President of Azerbaijan has repeatedly said that the country should convert the oil capital into human capital, forwarding it towards the intellectual development of citizens," said the head of the department.

The International Education Exhibition - 2010 organized in Baku was attended by the prestigious universities from UK, USA, Switzerland and Turkey. The exhibition will demonstrate the general information on universities, on the form and deadlines of appeal, the rules of filling in applications for admission to these universities, their undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as information about foreign language courses.

Addressing the event, deputy education minister Elmar Gasimov said that currently most influential universities worldwide display an interest in Azerbaijan, which is testified by participation of more educational institutions than the past in this exhibition.

Currently, about 500 Azerbaijani students study at the top universities worldwide. A special video will be presented in the Caspian education center to more closely acquaint students with universities.
