A new photographic exhibition on the capital of Azerbaijan by Russian born photographer Gueorgui Pinkhassov opened in London on Feb. 16.

The exhibition was co-organized by Heydar Aliyev Foundation's Russia branch, Leyla Aliyeva, founder and Editor-in-Chief of Moscow-based “Baku” magazine, Embassy of Azerbaijan to UK and UK's Magnum Agency.
“Baku with love” exhibition presents about 60 photos by British ‘Magnum’ photographer Gueorgui Pinkhassov featuring beautiful views of contemporary Baku.
While roaming the streets of Baku, Pinkhassov has endeavored to capture the atmosphere of the largest city in the Caucasus.
Ambassador of Azerbaijan to UK Fakhraddin Gurbanov expressed his deepest gratitude to the organizers of the event, notably to Leyla Aliyeva.
Addressing the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Leyla Aliyeva said: “Over the centuries Azerbaijan`s capital, Baku has been variously called “The city of winds”, “The city of Fires”, “The Pearl of Khazar”. Baku is a city of many faces: it is ancient and modern, having broad avenues and narrow streets, Maiden Tower, dating back to the Middle Ages and modern urban landscapes. The photos displayed here are the masterpieces and we are happy to present them in London, such a beautiful city”.
The exhibition was attended by Baroness O'Kahn, member of the House of Lords, Timothy Coleridge, Mayor of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, football celebrity Andrey Arshavin and others.
