Azerbaijan's Council of State Support to NGOs issued 2,68 mln manat to finance projects in 2009

Guliyev said creation of the Council laid a basis for development of non-governmental organizations in the country.

The structure also expands relations with UN, OSCE and other influential international organizations, Guliyev said.

Chairman said the CSSN allotted 2,68 mln AZN to finance the projects elaborated by 246 NGOs in 2009.

He underlined last year, the Council funded 42 projects dealt with children problems.

Gulivev said 31 projects were implemented in Baku, while 11 in other regions of the country.

The Council launched a website qhtxeber.az and published a book about the projects funded by CSSN in 2009, Chairman added.
