System of passenger transport in Baku will undergo changes soon, said Samir Hasanov, Spokesperson for Bakisarnishinnaqliyyat, responsible for passenger transport in the capital.

He said according to the Cabinet of Ministers decision, passengers will get in a bus through the front door and get out through the back door.
"In addition, in large three-door buses passengers will get in through the front door and get out through the middle and rear doors. The payment for the bus travel will be made by plastic cards.
Passengers will get in only through the front door where bus payment machines will be installed.
The passengers will have to hold the card to the machine. The new rules will take effect either in late December or early 2010,” Hasanov said.
Hasanov said that special machines will be installed in certain places to enable passengers to fill their cards.
Drivers will receive a stable salary as soon as new rules are introduced, he said.
