Results of financial aid competition for media outlets released in Azerbaijan

"About 55 projects became winners among 112 ones submitted for the competition opened on July 1," Executive Director of the Fund Vugar Safarli said at a press-conference.

The Fund for State Support to Media Development under the Azerbaijani President announced the competition in 12 trends on June 25.

Maximum sum for each project is 20,000 manat. The bids were received from July 1 to 31.

Safarli said the winners include 30 newspapers, 13 news agencies, 6 journalists' organizations and 6 other relevant organizations.

There are more than 3,300 media outlets in Azerbaijan.
