Institute of media rights: "The decision of Azerbaijani leadership about Ganimat Zahid and Mirza Sakit can only be welcomed"

The institute voiced hope that positive gestures towards journalists will continue.

Director of the Institute for Media Rights Rashid Hajili noted that this is not only an ordinary humane step by the country's leadership. It can be assessed as a sign of good rill.

"In any case, the permission to attend the funeral may soften the strained situation in the sphere of freedom  of speech and create a moral basis for taking long-expected steps", said he.
