British Embassy to Azerbaijan toughens visa procedure

Beginning from October 27 the visa department of the British Embassy to Azerbaijan will introduce new procedures for presentation of documents for obtaining visa for UK, reports Day.Az with reference to the press service for the embassy.

It was noted that the documents, attached to the application form, must be presented simultaneously, otherwise the department officials will not contact the candidates for getting visa to UK with a request to present all necessary documents. Persons, who do not provide necessary documents attached to the application, will not receive visa in most cases. Persons, responsible for issuing visa, will take due decisions regarding issuance or dismissal of the appeal on the basis of the application form and attached documents.

At the same time, the press service notes that it is necessary to present more proofs about the financial state of the candidates for getting visa. The same is applied to the persons, who are sponsoring the visit to Great Britain.

From now on the documents must be translated into English, though there is no need for their being ratified by notary. The attached documents, which are not translated in English, will not be considered.

In order to get a visa, it is necessary to provide 45x35 photo taken through the past six months. The photo must be colorful, taken on the white background and stuck to the application. Photos, not meeting the standards, will not be considered.

The press service for the embassy noted that each person can appoint a meeting only once and if several meetings are appointed, all of them will be annulled without notification.
