Rufat Abbasov: "We have responded to the official letter of Mukhalifat newspaper correspondent, therefore, the point of his claim against Azercell is unclear to us"

Yesterday, we have posted the article "Pardoned journalist files claim against Azercell mobile operator". Spokesman for Azercell Rufar Abbasov contacted us to voice the official position of the company,

He said the following:

"Correspondent of the Mukhalifat newspaper Yashar Aghazade really appealed with an official letter to Azercell on August 6 of 2008. The letter fixed two requests, connected with numbers beginning with 211.

In line with the Azerbaijani legislation on August 13 we sent a official letter to Aghazade, responding only to a part of the question, as the other part is considered confidential.

We explained that the answer can not be given due to the commercial secret, protected by the legislation of Azerbaijan. We have responded to the official letter of the Mukhalifat newspaper correspondent, therefore, we do not understand the point of his claim against Azercell".
