Swiss Synagogue holds night of acquaintance with Azerbaijan

The event participants were informed about different periods of Azerbaijani history and its current development by means of slides. In particular, the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno Karabakh was widely covered.

They were also presented the brochures, books and booklets about the life of Mountain Jews in Azerbaijan, sent by the State Committee.

The second part of the meeting was devoted to Mountain Jews, residing in Azerbaijan. The slides about their life were demonstrated and a detailed information about it was provided.

The representative of the state committee, attending the event, informed the participants about the Azerbaijan-Israel symposium. The event was attended by the president and members of the society Or Hadash. It was decided to hold such events in all the Jewish communities of Switzerland.
