Appeal of former chief of Heydar Aliyev's airport security service taken for consideration in Baku

The Baku Appellate Court received a case of the chief of the security service of the Azeri Airlines state concern Emil Suleymanov and four other persons, reports a source from the Appellate Court.
According to the source, the case was taken for considering by judge Sahibkhan Mirzoyev and the court hearing will be held on July 30.

The appeal states the need to pass a verdict of not guilty.

It should be noted that former chief of the security service of the Baku airport Emil Suleymanov was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment, official of the National Security Ministry Rafet Aliyev to 3 years, chief of Operative service of the said Ministry Tamerlan Mikailob and electronic engineer of the service Tair Asadzade to 2.5 years, servuce programmer Faik Guliyev to 2 years,

Suleymanov was charged under articles 228.1  and 234.1 (illegal purchase, transfer, storing, transportation or carrying arms, complecting details, ammunitions except for smoothbore hunting rifle and ammunitions), explosive substances or blasters), 274 (high treason), 308 (abuse of powers) of the Criminal Code.

Mikailov is charged under articles 228.1, 234.1 (illegal purchase of storing of drugs of psychotropic substances in the volumes, exceeding the volumes of personal consumption without the purpose of sale) and 302.2 (violation of the law on operative search).

Asadzade is charged under article 228.1, 302.2. and 308.1, R.Aliyev under articles 341.1 (abuse of powers, deliberate idleness) and 341.2.2 (the same actions with use of arms).
