Court declines claim of journalist Ahil Halil regarding fact of his being beaten in the Olive Garden

Day.Az reports with reference to the Institute for Reporter Freedom and Safety that the due information was provided by defender Elchin Sadikhov.

The claim states the unlawfulness of dropping the criminal case of the fact of his being beaten in the Olive Garden and the need to review the case.

Thus, the court considered Agil Halil's claim unfounded and decline the appeal.

According to the defender, they intend to appeal against the decision of the Nasimi district court.

It should be noted that on May 21 of 2008, the prosecutor general's office dropped the criminal case, instituted on the fact of beating of Azadlyg newspaper correspondent in the Olive Garden.
