International meeting of religious hierarchs to be held in Baku

As is known, the meeting is devoted to inter-religious dialogue. The meeting will be held by initiative of the co-chairs of the CIS Religious Council Moscow and All-Russian patriarch Alexi the Second and chief of the Caucasus Muslims Department Sheikh-ul-Islam Allashukur Pashazade.

According to the source, the event is scheduled for October of 2009. It will be the continuation of the world summit of religious figures held in Moscow in 2006.

The Baku meeting is expected to be attended by religious figures throughout the world. UN Secretary General Pan Gi Mun has also been invited to it.
