Car accident kills parents of Azerbaijan's deputy Justice Ministry - UPDATED

Azerbaijan's Interior Ministry released official statement regarding yesterday's car accident, killing and injuring family members of Azerbaijan's Deputy Justice Minister Nazim Alekperov.

Thus, the car accident occured yesterday at 12:30 in the territory of the Zarat village at the 86th kilometer of the Baku-Quba highway. VAZ-21074, operated by resident of Devechi region of Azerbaijan crashed into the Honda car operated by Baku resident Naila Alekperova.

The accident killed the passenger of Honda Ramiz Alekperov and passenger of VAZ Shirali Novruzov. Both drivers were injured.

Passengers Bayramova Narkhanum Novruzova, Afsana Novruzova, Parvin Mamedova and Alekperova's passengers mother Tamilla, Nadir Zeynalov and Rashid Vezirov were brought to hospital with various injuries.

Day.Az reports with reference to the press service for the Interior Minister that doctors did not manage to rescue Tamilla Alekperova (Deputy Justice Minister's mother).

Thus, the number of victims reached 3.

The reasons of the car accident are being investigated.

A road accident occurred today at the 86th kilometer Baku-Quba highway in Siyazan killing father and injuring sister, mother and nephew of the head of Penitentiary service, deputy Justice Minister Nazim Alekperov, reports Day.Az with reference to ANS-Press.

As is reported, VAZ-2107, operated by Vasif Bayramov and Hyundai, operated by Alekperov's sister Naila Alekperova crashed.

In the result of the crash Alekperova's passenger -her 75 year old father Ramiz Alekperov died on the spot, while she was brought to hospital with various injuries.

Moreover, Bayramov's passenger Shirali Novruzov died and Bayramov was brought to hospital.

Nazim Alekperov's mother and nephew, also being in the car, are in coma state.
