The military court of grave crimes of Azerbaijan, presided by judge Mursal Aliyev, completed the court hearing on the case of chief of security service department of Azeri airlines state concern Emil Suleymanov and four other people, said a source from the military court.

In line with the verdict, former chief of the security servive of the Baku airport Emil Suleymov is sentenced to 15 years in prison, official of the Ministry of National Security Rafet Aliyev to 3 years, chief of operative management service of the said structure Tamerlan Mikailov and electronic engineer Tair Asadzade to 2.5 years, programming engineer of the service Faik Quliyev to 2 years.
Suleymanov is charged under articles 228.1 (illegal purchase, transfer, sale, storing, transportation or carrying weapon, parts, ammunitions (except for smooth-bore guns and ammunitions), explosive substances or explosive facilities), 274 (high treason), 308 (abuse of powers) of the Criminal Code.
Mikailov is charged under articles 228.1, 234.1 (illegal purchase or storing of drugs or phychotropic substances in the amount, exceeding the norm of personal consumption not for the sale", 302.2. (violation of the law on operative search).
Asadzade is charged under articles 228.1, 302.2 and 308.1, R.Aliyev under articles 341.1 (abuse of powers, purposeful negligence) and 341.2.2 (the same actions with use of arms).
The accused are placed in the investigation ward of the National Security Ministry. Asadzade was detained in late July of the last year, Mikailov on August 1, Suleymanov on September 6 of 2007, the rest were detained later.
