Young ladies and women throughout the world face such problems as education and trafficking, said Leyla Aliyeva, general coordinator of the Youth Forum of the Organization of Islamic Conference on issues of intercultural and inter-civilization dialogue and head of representation of Heydar Aliyev's Foundation in Russia.
She noted that Islam ensured all rights to women, which they had not had previously. "After Islam appeared women were not burnt on fire, Islam gave the right to women to marry", said she.
L.Aliyeva noted that women were provided with a right to vote in 1919 when women in many countries did not have this right.
Touching upon the activity of modern women, Aliyeva noted that women should be active in political life, occupy positions, where they can make independent decisions.
She said the role of women in the dialogue between civilizations has not been studied fully.
"For a more detailed study of this issue it is proposed to hold an international conference on the role of young women in international policy in Baku in 2009", suggested Aliyeva.
