Siyavush Novruzov: "We should adopt the pardoning decree on occassion of Heydar Aliyev's birthday"

"The decree of pardon, dated to birthday of all-national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev, was adopted last year by initiative of President of Heydar Aliyev's Foundation MP Mehriban Aliyeva".

"It would be expedient to adopt similar pardoning decree this year".

The due proposal was made by Siyavush Novruzov, deputy executive secretary of Yeni Azerbaijan party, at the Milli Medjlis session.

He noted that the President regularly signs decrees of pardon, yet the decree is not so wide as the amnesty acts.

"The amnesty act covers a large circle of prisoners. It would be expedient to cover people, who committed crimes by accident, as well as imprisoned elderly people and women", said Novruzov.

He asked his colleagues to support the initiative.
