Iranian ambassador to Azerbaijan: "Detention of cargo, destined for the construction of Bushehr NPP, is a technical issue"

He said the detention of cargo, sent from Russia to Iran for the construction of Busher nuclear power plant, on the Azerbaijani-Iranian border is connected with the custom procedures.

Estimating the incident as a technical problem, the ambassador said he hoped the problem would be solved in the next few days.

Russian cargo underway to Iran was detained on March 29 by the decision of Azerbaijani Government and Russian side is demanded to give detailed information about the cargo.

Tehran officials think that the problem should be solved by the Russian contractor – "Atomstroyeksport".

APA reports with reference to ISNA thatIran said the equipments should reach Bushehr plant within the schedule.
