President Ilham Aliyev congratulates Azerbaijani women on March 8 – International Women’s Day

“Azerbaijani women made an unexampled contribution to the protection and keeping alive the rich national-cultural values of our people throughout the centuries. Their patriotism, generosity and wisdom have been shown in every period of our history. A good will like giving peace to the human-beings finds its brilliant defender in the name of our peaceful mothers. Although shouldering hard social job, Azerbaijani women have already supported society and demonstrated resolute will and determination during the difficult socio-political changes”.

The President has appreciated women’s role in the country’s public and political life.

“Present high public position of Azerbaijani women, whose rights and freedoms have completely been secured, is estimable. As an active part of the republic’s economic, socio-political and cultural life for long years, her contribution to the national state building and rapid dynamic development of the country, which has no analogue in the world, has an exclusive significance. Azerbaijani women are actively contributing the sciences, education, health, culture and other spheres, where show their huge capacity and increases their influences. Democratic atmosphere in the country created good environment for the women to realize their talents and abilities. I believe our women will continue doing their best for such honorable and important work like bringing up the Azerbaijani children in the spirit of loyalty and deep respect to our people and its national-spiritual resources and traditions”.
