Asker Alekperov: "Ministry of Internal Affairs will prevent any attempt to destabilize situation in Azerbaijan during elections"

Situation in Azerbaijan is under control, most crimes, are immediately disclosed.

The due announcement was made by Azerbaijan's deputy interior minister Asker Alekperov, commenting on the situation in the country.

He said there is nothing to worry about.

"The situation is stable. All conditions have been provided for normal entrepreneurial activity within the country", he said.

Commenting on the presidential elections, he said there is a great progress in economic and other spheres and the population is aware of it.

"Therefore, nothing bad is expected and there is nothing to worry about".

Asked to comment on the readiness of law-enforcement bodies to prevent attempts of coup d'etat, he said if something like this occurs, the law-enforcement bodies will prevent any illegal attempts.

Alekperov noted that various trainings are being held with international organizations, in particular, in cooperation with OSCE and EU experts to prepare for elections.

"Such arrangements are also organized by the Ministry of Internal Affairs to prevent mass disorders and to ensure legal activity of police while suppressing such actions.
