Journalist blackmailing Azerbaijani MP arrested

A source in the law-enforcement bodies reported that the founder, who introduced himself as an editor-in-chief, demanded $3,000 from Azerbaijani parliamentarian Ahad Ahmadov, threatening to reveal discrediting facts about him and his family.

Rahimov was detained by the officers of the Department for Combat with Organized Crimes under Azerbaijan's Ministry of Internal Affairs as he was taking $1,500 from the parliamentarian.

The fact is being investigated.
