River Kur freezes for the first time in 45 years

According to the Center of Monitoring and Forecasting under the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Georgia, the surface of the river Kur, flowing in Tbisili, has frozen for the first time in 45 years.

The river has frozen in the result of 15 degree frost in Tbilisi.

The Center also reports that in 1962  when the frost reached  -20 degree in Tbilisi, the surface of the river was also covered with ice.
