Ombudsmen of Azerbaijan and Daghestan sign agreement on human rights protection

The Ombudsman offices of Azerbaijan and Daghestan have signed a bilateral agreement in the sphere of human rights protection.

The due information has been provided by the Ombudsman office of Azerbaijan.

The document was signed by the Ombudsman of Azerbaijan Elmira Suleymanova and Ombudsman of Daghestan Svetlana Alisoltanova.

The signed document creates opportunities for cooperation in the framework of ombudsman's powers in the sphere of human rights protection, assistance to the citizens of the countries in protection of their rights on the territory of the country, participating in the agreement, and joint researches, trainings, conferences and so on.

Azerbaijan has signed agreements with Federal Ombudsmen of Russia, including Tatarstan, Sverdlov and Saratov regions and Moscow.

Moreover, bilateral agreements were also signed between the Ombudsman of Azerbaijan and Ombudsmen of Ukraine, Georgia and Uzbekistan.
