The State Veterinary Service has launched a monitoring of avian flu due to the existent threat of the spread of the virus on the territory of Azerbaijan.

The due information has been provided by the deputy chief of the State Veterinary Service Emin Shahbazov.
He said the monitoring is held at the poultry farms of the country.
E.Shahbazov noted that tests of over 230 birds have been taken so far.
"The process is going on and will complete by the end of the week", Shahbazov said.
The monitoring is held by officials of the State Veterinary Service, specialists of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and the Ministry of Health.
