Milli Medjlis appeals to World Azerbaijanis

The appeal was read by MP Jalia Aliyeva on behalf of the parliament.

The appeal says that the idea of celebrating the Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis was promoted and ratified by the National Leader of Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev.

"16 years have passed since that time. Azerbaijanis celebrate this holiday no matter where they are. Currently, millions of our compatriots live in different countries and the process of their uniting into organizations goes at high pace.

The session of Azerbaijanis, held in Baku, became another stimulus for the solidarity of World Azerbaijanis", the appeal says.
