Azeri-language TV channel InterAz, which had been broadcasted in Moscow, Russia's capital city by July of this year, will resume its operation.
The TV channel will be on air at 18.00 on December 29. The founder of the channel is the member of Azerbaijani Writers’ Union Shahmammad Nazarli.
It has its offices in Baku and Moscow. The staff of the InterAz includes former employees of AzTV and Space.
Idris Heydarli has been appointed the art director of InterAz Moscow office, Rafig Savalan art director of the channel’s Baku office and Vugar Heybatov chief producer.
The TV channel will mainly broadcast programs on Azerbaijan’s history, culture and classical music.
InterAz was established in November, 2002 and shut down in July this year. Vasif Babayev, who was the art director of InterAz office in Azerbaijan, said the channel had some financial problems.
According to the National Television and Radio Council, InterAz has not been registered in the council and therefore it will be not broadcasted at Azerbaijan's frequencies.
