Maharram Aliyev: "Some of the 11 wanted for kidnapping bore relationships with Haji Mammadov's gang"

Aliyev said that kidnapping is one of the main reasons of criminogenic tension in the capital, APA reports.

Maharram Aliyev said that some problems concerning their detention are not in their responsibility.

"Some of them are not in Baku. We arrested one of them in Moscow, but got a letter that this man is a Russian citizen and they can not extradite him," he said.

The police chief confirmed the reports that some police officers are not interested in the arrest of wanted persons.

"There are such facts. We are aware of them and taking necessary measures," he said.
