1st Republic Competition of Young Pianists starts

Opening ceremony of 1st Republic Competition of Young Pianists dedicated to the 100th jubilee of Kovkab Safaraliyev was held in Azerbaijani State Philharmonics.

The event is organized by Culture and Tourism Ministry, Baku Music Academy (BMA), Music Workers Union and sponsored by A+A Group of Companies.

The chief of organizing committee of project, Honored artist, pro-rector of BMA Yegana Akhundova delivering a speech in the opening ceremony said that the competition will continue till April 30, the person who takes 1st place will be awarded AZN3000 and laureate of competition (AZN500 of it will be presented to laureate's teacher), 2nd place AZN2000 and the laureate of the competition (AZN300 will be presented to laureate's teacher), 3rd place AZN1000 and the laureate of the competition (AZN200 will be presented to laureate's teacher) and two honorary diplomas in the sum of AZN500 will be presented in the 2-rounded competition.

Jury chaired by rector of BMA, professor Farhad Badalbayli is composed of Turkey Askishahar Anatolia University State Conservatoire's professor Zohrab Adigozalzadeh, professor Yuri Sabayev, pro-rector of BMA Ogtay Abbasguliyev and teacher of secondary music school named after Bulbul Nilufar Tahasaranskaya. Following this, cast-lots ceremony will be held for the participants of the competition. APA
