President issues order to improve library service

Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev issued an executive order on improvement of library service in the country, President’s press service told.

The Culture and Tourism Ministry together with Communications and Information Technologies Ministry is to prepare plans of activities on improvement of the national library, its provision with modern information technologies and logistics and present to the head of state within two months.

The executive order also covers improvement of libraries in the regions, APA reports.

The Culture and Tourism Ministry is to prepare 2008-2013 state program on improvement of library-information service and submit to the Cabinet within three months.
