The investigation materials will be sent to the court on April 18-19. Eldar Efendiyev, spokesman for General Prosecutor's Office confirmed. He said that the defense has the right to petition.
"After the problem is solved, indictment will be made and submitted to General Prosecutor for signing," he said.
Efendiyev said he does not know when the investigation materials will be sent to court, APA reports.
Ferhad Aliyev faced charges on Articles 179.3.2 (embezzlement), 313 (abuse of power), 311 (bribery) of the Criminal Code. Rafig Aliyev faced charges on Articles 213 (tax evasion) and 206.4 (smuggling). 19 more defendants are accused of bribery.
The accusations on coup d'etat and mass unrest have not been dropped.
Former president of Azpetrol group of companies Rafig Aliyev faced charges on Articles 213 (tax evasion), 28.220 (attempt to stage mass unrest) and 278 of the Criminal Code on September 28, 2006.
