Earthquake occurs in Ganja

Earthquake occurred in Ganja region of Azerbaijan and surrounding regons at 15.36 today, Arif Hasanov, director of Republic Seismological Centre of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) told.

The epicenter of the earthquake was in the 14 kilometers in the north-west of Ganja. The magnitude of the earthquake shocks was 3 in the epicenter.

The shocks were felt in Ganja and Shamkir at the magnitude of 2,5 and in Gadabay and Dashkasan at the magnitude of 2.

Hasanov said that these tremors are connected with the geotectonic processes. No casualties and damages were reported, APA reports.
