Right defenders to appeal to President for lifers

Right defenders are going to appeal to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for life-term prisoners in Gobustan jail, who demand to commute their punishments to 15-year-impriosnemnt, Human Right Defenders Organization Monitoring group told.

The document will be signed by the right defenders represented in the Monitoring Group and Public Committee of Penitentiary Service of Justice Ministry.

Right defenders support the demand of the lifers on commuting their sentence with 15-year, APA reports.

Ten prisoners of Gobustan jail have protested by since March 27, 2007.
