Defense lawyers address ex-minister's trial

Today trial on case of former Health Minister Ali Insanov and ten more defendants accused of embezzlement, abuse of power and bribery continued at Azerbaijan's Court of Grave Crimes.

Rafiga Seyidova lawyer for Parviz Kazimov and Geybulla Javadov, lawyer for Fuad Mahmudov addressed the trial. They wanted the court to bring acquittal to their defendants.

Akif Alizade, lawyer for Vekil and Fekhreddin Abbasovs said that the court did not create necessary conditions for the defense. The lawyer said the evidences are groundless and they proved Fakhraddin Abbasov's innocence.

Reshad Mirmehdizade, lawyer for Eldar Rzayev wanted the court to bring acquittal to his defendant, as the evidences against were groundless.

The process will continue in the second half of the day, APA reports.
