Azerbaijan–Italy U-17s match postponed

AFFA department chief Behruz Asgerov told APA-Sport that the match scheduled for June 6 has been postponed till next year.

"Italian squad appealed to the AFFA to change the match date as they will participate in European championship qualifying in June," he said.

Asgerov noted the AFFA has already sent its proposal to Italy. "Italian team suggests playing on February 10 or March 25, 2008. We discussed the issue and passed a decision to play on March 25," he underscored.

Asgerov said that other opponent Greece has sent its answer on the date of encounters. The AFFA preferred to play visit match against the rival on June 2.
